Our project for a single-family weekend house in Florenville was born from the idea to protect as much of the beautiful planted, hilly site as possible. The night spaces - 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a small study - form a black box, floating above the ground. Below it, the main living area spans over a large terrace, overlooking the terrain. Through the extensive use of glass, the continuity of the floor and the absence of any visual obstacle, this ground floor connects fluidly to the woody landscape around. 

Of very modest dimensions and entirely built out of wood, on piles, the house appears as a light, almost ephemeral intervention on the wild bush carpet and tries to make itself forget among the trees.
