Maison Campioni is a townhouse in Flemish Renaissance and Neo-Gothic style from 1890, designed by Georges Dhaeyer. The roof features multiple gables covered in natural slate from the Fumay quarry, with dormer windows, a weather vane, and ridge decorations with a cloverleaf motif. In addition to the necessary restoration of the roof coverings, chimney stacks, and roof ornaments, the feasibility of roof insulation is being explored to improve the building’s thermal performance. To assess the impact on the heritage elements, three insulation options were outlined and compared.
